YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-stick

Hello gorgeous! For months this glamorous lipstick was on my wishlist. From the moment it caught my eye I knew it would one day be mine. It is so pretty! Keep reading to find out if this beauty is worth saving up for!

I admit, I would have never thought I would put down more than €30 for a lipstick, ever. But don’t we all go crazy once in a while? And ok, I really was curious to know how it would feel to have my lips are covered in €€€ lipstick. So this week I am forgetting about all my budget lippies I have lying around and am completely lost in my newest addition: the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-in stick in 45 Rouge Tuxedo. Whew! Luckily the gorgeous packaging is easier to remember 🙂

The Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-in-stick is encased by a gorgeous gold-colored tube with the brand logo visible from all sides. Beneath the logo, the color of the lipstick gives the housing a nice color accent. Its look is simple yet elegant and sophisticated. Love, love, love it! 🙂

Opening the tube, a fruity mango scent wafts upward. This is not a smell I would immediately associate with a high-end brand like YSL. The color though is ab-so-lu-te-ly gorgeous! Time to roll the stick out of the tube! Be careful when grabbing the upper part and turn, there is so little space to place your fingers.

The lipstick is made up mainly out of oils and that’s something you notice immediately when it glides onto your lips. The super smooth application and immediate color pay-off is just perfect. Yes, I am really feeling the high-end experience now. My lips are softly coated, look shiny, full and are colored in a bright pink. The thin layer of oily substance was so comfortable to wear I even repeatedly forgot my lips were covered.

My lips were very dry and chapped before I tried it on and the waxy substance covered the fine lines nicely. Any dryness I felt was replaced by the feeling of richly nourished lips. The color wears off after a good hour or so but my lips felt soft and hydrated for a while longer. After wearing this gloss a few days in a row, you really begin to see the results of the intense hydration your lips get. This lipstick will definitely be in my bag for the rest of the cold winter season.

Tip: Wear a transparent lip liner to make sure the gloss doesn’t get into the fine upper lines of your lips.

A new favorite!

I really enjoyed trying out the YSL Rouge Volupté Oil-in-stick. The YSL Oil-in-stick is a great lipgloss in stick format that gave my lips a color boost and kept them hydrated for hours. My lips felt really cared for and knowing I was wearing a YSL lipstick made the experience all the sweeter. And let’s not forget how amazing it looks on my makeup table 🙂
